iPhone Apps Not Loading

One of my colleagues borrowed my iPhone to check on its installed applications. He then touched on the finger scanner and eventually asked me if that's working. I nodded yes but when I tried it myself it just opened but it did not went through. That's when I realized that it again has a problem. I tried almost every applications but all were in the same condition.

When I get home from the office, it was my first assignment to fix this apps problem. I have tried various ways such as:

-deleting some of the apps as well as those mails downloaded as there could be a memory issue
-resetting the settings
-rebooting the phone
-removing and putting back the SIM card

but unfortunately these things did not work.

The next thing I did was having the iPhone plugged to my desktop to have it synchronized again to iTunes. After a few minutes,I clicked on the apps and glad to have seen them functioning again.Happy to have it resolved myself without the need for me to ask for a professional technician to do it with fees. ;)

My New Rubber Shoes - Nike Plus

Finally, I was able to get my new rubber shoes from my in-laws as sent by my hubby who’s in Dubai right now. 

At last, I’m already wearing it. I just wear it with excitement given the fact that it is new. But I never knew that there’s something special about it (aside from the thought that it is a gift from dadi).

I have learned that just today when one of my office mates (isay) noticed my shoes’ sole. She discovered that it is a Nike Plus model. Therefore I asked her what’s with a Nike Plus. All I know is that this is just a footwear, it may be a branded one but I know nothing more about it.

She requested me to take it off and told me to lift the inside pad, there we discovered that there is a pocket inside intended for a chip. 

She told me that I need to have that chip (which can be bought from a sports shop), download a Nike Plus apps in my iPhone (since I have an iPhone)  put the chip inside the shoes  and it will automatically connect to the phone through the software and from there I can already monitor my feet’s activities. And of course not only my feet’s movement but its entire body and fitness impact, the length of time, the pace and distance taken and also the number of calories burned.

The chip acts as a sensor. Having it set on my iPhone (also works on iPod nano and iPod touch) I can choose a running mode or customize other workout shortcuts, add them up to my favorites and can even opt to assign workout music playlists.

This is so amazing. It’s as if having a real workout machine where you I can set my exercise goal and it will provide feedback trough its PC synchronization attribute. Not only that, I can also update my friends through social networking sites as it can also be directly linked to facebook, twitter and etc.

Wow! Dare to  have one? I usually do not go for branded and signature items as I'd rather buy from Baclaran or just take advantage of items on sale in the mall so I can have variants of everything, but I Thank Ronnie for this - very much appreciated.

iPhone Touch Screen Not Working

It was just another irregularity encountered by my iPhone and such had caused me another count of paranoia.

Just the other night, I let my cousin used my phone to communicate with our common friend. After a while, he returned it saying that our friend has responded but he cannot open the message. I've noticed that something showing "download pro" and a dialogue box for new message appearing on the screen. I tried to touch on "view" but nothing came out. I slid my finger on the cancel button but it didn't work. I hold on the power button till the slide to turn it off  emerged. However, sliding the same thing has brought me into nothing. I assumed its system hung already. I asked my friend to call me. She can reach my iPhone, it was ringing but still I cannot slide the screen to answer the call. So I just let the night passed without any plans of taking it to the service center.

Right upon waking up, I immediately put on my desktop with the intention of searching through Google on the possible resolution to my problem. With enough of patience, I  browsed every link which has something in relation to my iPhone's problem. The first two links I've visited didn't give me the right answer tnd so my third time was the very fortunate try I've done.

I just followed the first instruction which says "hold (long press) the home button and the power button at the same time till it takes your iPhone to restart". For about 5secs I hold on the buttons then my iPhone restarted. After another 3secs or so it asked for my PIN and that resolved the issue. My iPhone's working again.

Blogging Thru iPhone

I am now blogging thru my mobile phone as I am out with my officemates. Having dinner with bulalo, buffalo wings, sizzling hotdog and sizzling sisig served before us. This is another "gala".

With acoustic band playing, we have initially ordered two (2) buckets of SML to match our gimik night.

But what I really want to impart is that, with the latest development of Science & technology I can blog anywhere with my iPhone as long as there's Internet connection.

Locked iPhone - an unforgettable techie experience

Til now, I have not really recovered yet from my locked iPhone. I just realized lately that it was really an outcome of a modest stupidity of mine. Being an explorer sometimes bring you harm if you don't do it in a more persistent way.

I should have researched more. I should have ignored my paranoia. So I won't need to go to a communication network and insisted to them to do the reconfiguration of my phone while I did not really purchase it from them. So I need not go to a service center and made me believe that I even got the repair at a lower price. Haizz! Another lesson learned for me and I would want to share this with you guys, if in case the same thing happens to you, you'll know what to do without having to go to a repair man who sometimes intend to betray you.

Regardless of the brand and model of your mobile phone you should first consult Mr. Google about it. Try to be as patient as possible so you'll get an appropriate solution to your problem. Why I am telling  this to you?

Going back to my iPhone repair instance, I noticed the repair man that he was blocking his pc monitor so as not for me to see what he's doing. As I peeped on it, I have exactly seen that he typed something in a search bar in an internet window perfectly similar to the google interface. Sigh! I actually did the same thing but I did not practice the virtue of patience then. Instead, I silently panicked and thought of bringing it really to service center. 

After a few click and reading from the PC he then plugged my iPhone through a USB and suddenly it was unlocked. I kept the scenario on his monitor in my mind. So he proceeded and did the touch thing in my iPhone. I knew he just had the phone connected to wifi and did download an application from there. He had it done at more or less 45mins. Maybe the connection was not that fast so the downloading process really took him long. Then, he handed me the phone and bingo! It has been reconfigured and the network service has been restored. 

When I got the phone I checked on it and this new application captured my attention. It was named as Fuzzyband so I asked him what was that and he just told me that "wag mo nang pansinin yan, wala lang yan" (just ignore that, it's nothing).So I did, wanting to go home I paid him with our agreed price - almost equivalent to my daily salary. I had no choice but to regret about it at the back of my mind. I already thought of doing the same thing I saw from the screen. I just downloaded a twitter apps and after which I decided to go straight home.

The Sorry me upon arriving home immediately turned on my desktop PC and visited Mr. Google. I got into one of the results which was actually a forum and saw the answer to my problem exactly matching to the pictures that flashed in the PC monitor of the serviceman. Apparently, this has brought me even more regrets at that time. Knowing that I only need an MS.Net Framework and that same Fuzzyband application to restore my Iphone back to it's functionality. Haaayy... That's life.

Notes: The latest models of mobile phones may not be resolved by some of the available software around the net as hackers are still on the process of studying about them. Not all hackers are harmful to the same kind of people. Sometimes they help as Forums and blogs help as well :D

My iPhone got no service... =(

Last night when I plugged my iPhone in my desktop at home for iTunes a dialogue box popped up with a message saying that a latest version of iPhone application is already available. Without knowing the benefits and consequences I immediately upgraded the software.

Lately when I realized that some of my installed apps were lost and when I read further about it I've learned that the apps do not yet support the software's latest version. Sigh... Now my favorite Ferrari theme is already gone. I miss the acceleration sound everytime I lock my iPhone.

Worst of all, it is now showing no service for any network sim. I already had it restarted, removed and returned the sim card, replaced it with another but it didn't work. Now I need help on this. I don't know what to do with it. I want the old version instead coz I didn't see any changes with the new one. =(

I need the signal for its basic purpose - texting & calling. I can only use this now as I have wifi connection. Without the Internet, this will only become useful as an Ipod and for playing the games downloaded. F1 friends...

iPhone 4 - would it really change everything again?

I ain’t techie - frustrated maybe.

I am not even a gadget lover - perhaps I don’t have the means to grab any.

I am not a shopper of electronic stuffs and all. I just settle on what is available as long as it serves the purpose.

Like for a cellphone – I am using a black & white mobile phone before, enough that I can send and receive SMS and calls.

But I do have an iPhone this time, obviously not the latest release - Just an 8GB one.

Never did I buy it… It is just a result of an exchange with my fiance. I won’t intend buying it most probably (thanks dadi!).

However, the release of the new model has captured my attention, as I have told myself if I do enjoy using my iPhone with its current features, no doubt iPhone4 would be just almost perfect.
